Food With a View

Outer Banks restaurants with tasty meals and sunset views.

The Outer Banks is known for its beautiful scenery and delicious local food. Combine the two and you've got food with a view! There are so many restaurants on the beach worth visiting, but here are some of our favorite eats at The Brad Beacham Group!

NC Coast Grill & Bar

Located on the Duck boardwalk, NC Coast offers a unique menu and a fantastic atmosphere. The restaurant has a modern coastal feel and features classic seafood dishes with some international flair! The dishes at NC Coast are a great option if you want to try something different. They do a fantastic job of adding a creative twist to classic dishes. And don’t miss out on the craft beer, wine, and cocktails!

The best seats in the house are outside on the Duck boardwalk. From here you can enjoy your meal and the amazing view of the sound! The boardwalk is almost a mile long and is scattered with all kinds of shops. If you want to make an afternoon of it, you can walk the boardwalk and do some shopping, enjoy the scenery, and stop at NC Coast for dinner and a sunset view!

If you want a local recommendation, Brad Beacham at The Brad Beacham Group highly recommends “The Board”. Brad loves NC Coast and the board is his favorite thing there. He says, “This is one of my local spots. Not only do I live just up the road but my office at Landmark Sotheby’s International Realty is right next door. Ask for the board….you can thank me later!”

The Blue Point

The Blue Point boasts food that’s “exciting yet familiar.” Located in Duck, the restaurant’s menu features Southern comfort food with a twist that’s sure to tickle your tastebuds. The ingredients are fresh and locally sourced. You can expect knowledgeable and friendly staff and an upscale but welcoming environment.

Simply walk out to the back bar for a spectacular view and a good time. Here you will find an outdoor bar with a roof that overlooks the sound. Grab a curated cocktail and listen to live music while enjoying the breathtaking sight of an Outer Banks sunset. You will surely have a fantastic meal and a fun night at Blue Point!

Black Pelican

Black Pelican is a classic Outer Banks restaurant. Located on the beach road in Kitty Hawk, this location is filled with history. The structure was built in 1874, and it used to be a lifesaving station. The inside is decorated with nautical memorabilia to reflect its maritime history. Known for its seafood, steaks, and pizzas, Black Pelican has something for everyone on the menu! Treat yourself to a delicious meal, a great atmosphere, and an ocean view from the dining area!

Due to its popularity, you may have to wait for your table at Black Pelican, but you can enjoy an ocean view while you wait! The restaurant has a deck where you can sit and watch the waves. The beach is right across the street so you can even take a walk on the beach while your table is prepared.

Miller’s Waterfront Restaurant

Located in Nags Head, Miller’s Waterfront Restaurant serves fresh traditional seafood. It is family owned and operated since 1982 and maintains its original charm. This local spot is family-friendly and has top-notch service. Some of the best seafood plates can be found at Miller’s and one of the most beautiful sunset views.?

Above the main section of the restaurant is the waterfront sunset bar and grill. This open-air bar serves small plates and drinks and boasts an unbelievable view of the sound. This is a perfect spot to gather with family and friends for drinks while you enjoy the beauty of the Outer Banks. Beacham comments, “This is one of my favorite places to watch the sunset. We sometimes go by boat and you can pull right up to the dock. This is such a fun atmosphere and a great place to get some good food and drinks as you watch the sunset.”

Blue Water Grill & Raw Bar

Blue Water Grill & Raw Bar can be found at Pirate’s Cove Marina in Manteo. The restaurant’s mission is to make every customer feel like a celebrity. The staff aims to impress with excellent service, killer food and drink, and a fun-filled experience. One of the unique features of Blue Water is Mimi’s Tiki Hut. Guests are welcome to wait here for their table, grab a drink, and watch the boats roll into the marina.

The view from inside the restaurant offers an even better look at the marina. Once seated, customers can choose from tasty seafood and American dishes. There is something for everyone on this menu. From fried oysters and fish tacos to burgers, Blue Water does not disappoint.

Swells’a Brewing

Top off the perfect Outer Banks meal and sunset with some drinks at Swells’a Brewing! Swells’a is a fairly new spot on the Outer Banks, but it’s clearly becoming a favorite! Swells’a serves craft beers with a beachy feel.

Swells’a can be found on the beach road in Kill Devil Hills. It has an indoor area and a rooftop bar where customers can view the ocean. There is also an outdoor seating area for hanging out and enjoying live music and events. The atmosphere is friendly and fun at Swells’a. Stop by for a good time and great views!
