It is hard to find a smaller oceanfront home with a swimming pool, but "Family Affair" is an affordable and unique exception. Many updates have been made over the past four years including the addition of the pool and fence, new siding, pilings, shingle roof, septic replacement, heat pump, flooring and more. Luxury vinyl plank flooring and some bathroom updates have been accomplished but there is still room to improve the interior space to really make it shine. This beach house doesn't require you to climb lots of stairs since the main living area, kitchen, dining, laundry room and a primary bedroom and bath are on the first level, with two additional bedrooms and a bath on the top floor. The contemporary design with a wall of windows allows abundant sunshine in the vaulted living room. There's a good amount of decking on the ocean side with a rooftop deck the length of the whole house where you can enjoy the sunrise over the ocean and catch the sunsets over the sound. The house has been sparsely rented by the owner in 2024 and is not obligated to any property management program in the future. This makes it one of the few options on Hatteras that truly gives a buyer a choice to rent by owner or add to a property management program, use as a second home, or spend the summer or entire year there yourself.
